Erectile-dysfunction treatment is highly sensitive to timing, discretion and confidence. Conventional tablets can require advance planning and depend on gastrointestinal absorption. NanoCelle Virile is being developed to provide an alternative experience: a portable, precisely metered oro-buccal spray designed to create an opportunity for earlier tadalafil exposure.

The buccal surface is well vascularised. Delivery at this site may allow tadalafil to enter the systemic circulation without relying on the full gastrointestinal pathway and may reduce hepatic first-pass processing before systemic exposure. The development objective is faster absorption and potentially improved bioavailability while retaining tadalafil’s established pharmacology and long-duration profile. Human studies are required to determine the actual absorption profile, bioavailability and clinical relevance.
